Oxymatrine is a kind of alkaloids from Sophora japonica ( kushen, Sophora flavescens Ait.; Common Name: Lighiyellow Sophora Root, ) ; and the main plant origin is Sophora japonica ( kushen) , also available from other plant origin such as Sophora subprostrata ( shandougen) , top parts of Sophora alopecuroides, and Radix Sophorae Subprostrata root( GuangDouGen) .
